Quality Manager

Kono is a unique Māori owned Limited Partnership company. Our objective is to be one of the best indigenous food and beverage businesses in the world. Employing over 400 staff across our entities we farm over 530 hectares of land and sea, and export to over 25 countries throughout the world. We produce green shell mussels, fruit bars, hops, fruit and a variety of wines across our Blenheim and Nelson locations.

The role:

We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to develop, lead and control all quality and product safety compliance across our seafood site located in Blenheim. The role will ensure the daily execution of health and Safety, Quality, NPD, cost, productivity, service and people development across the quality team.

The role reports directly to Site Operations Manager and will drive continuous quality and product safety improvement. The role will develop and maintain systems to meet all customer and regulatory requirements, improve customer satisfaction, reduce complaints, meet and exceed all quality and product safety practices as well as reducing the cost of quality.

If you are experienced in the food industry (especially seafood), have a relevant tertiary qualification in Food Technology or similar, and have leadership capability then this newly created role is perfect for you.
